27 years ago, Comrade Barbara Anna Kistler (Comrade Kinem), fighter of the Workers' and Peasants' Liberation Army of Turkey [TIKKO], fell in the mountains of Dersim. She gave her life for the Communist Party of Turkey (Marxist-Leninist) [TKP(ML)] and the People's War in Turkey, one of the four people's war today and a part of the proletarian world revolution. In the attempt to kill the comrade, the old Turkish State in reality immortalized her, because imperialism, revisionism, and reaction of all kinds cannot kill our fighters, the fallen of the proletarian world revolution. All those who have given their lives to sweep away imperialism off the surface of the Earth live forever in our struggle and have dyed our flag blood red with all of the blood which they have shed for golden communism. The struggle for the conquest of political power and for communism is condemned to win, and the old order, the old State, is condemned to fail and die. Chairman Mao said: «Make trouble, fail, make trouble again, fail again — until their doom; that is the logic of the imperialists and all reactionaries the world over in dealing with the people's cause, and they will never go against this logic. This is a Marxist law.»1 He also said: «Fight, fail, fight again, fail again, fight again — until their victory; that is the logic of the people, and they, too, will never go against this logic. This is another Marxist law.»1

Barbara Kistler was born on the 21st of November, 1955 in Zurich. As a daughter of the proletariat, she already early grasped the true character of the imperialist system and began to be organized politically at the age of 16. The US-imperialist supported State coup against Allende in Chile destroyed all illusions about a «peaceful road to socialism» and other such counter-revolutionary lies for her, and it became crystal-clear to her that revolutionary violence is a universal law for the destruction of the old and the construction of the new.

As a consistent anti-imperialist and internationalist, the comrade, through her political work in the middle of the 1980s, came into contact with supporters of the vanguard of the proletariat in Turkey, the TKP(ML). Through these contacts, she studied the Party's Programme very closely, and decided to become active in the class struggle in Turkey under the leadership of the TKP(ML). On the 19th of May, 1991, she was arrested in a big raid by the rotten Turkish State, in which two comrades were executed by the reaction. The genocidal Turkish State made her spend the first 14 days in the torture prison Gayrettepe and thereafter in the prison Bayrambasa. The torture by the reaction could not break her, and she condemned the bureaucrat-capitalist Turkish State during her trial with her statement: «You have no right to condemn proletarian internationalism!» An international campaign demanding her freedom developed, and she was set free on the 16th of September of the same year, and for one month returned to the Swiss State, before she secretly traveled back into Turkey. The comrade became a fighter of the people's army TIKKO and fought in the countryside and mountains for the new-democratic revolution. On the 7th of February, 1993, Barbara Anna Kistler fell in the mountains of Dersim.

The task of the Communists in a process of formation in the Swiss State today is the reconstitution of the Communist Party of Switzerland, as a militarized, Marxist-Leninist-Maoist political party, as a struggle machine to serve the conquest of political power and the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat through the socialist revolution in the form of people's war, which is the military theory of the international proletariat, and the continuation of the proletarian revolution through cultural revolutions until shining Communism. It must be clear that the fulfilment of this task is a historical necessity, and we are and must be tools of necessity. Although Barbara Kistler did not grasp this task, she is remembered by the international proletariat as a consistent anti-imperialist, as a martyr who shed her blood and gave her life for the proletarian world revolution and for the international proletariat.
