#INTRODUCTION NOTE
This is a comment written by Comrade Mao Zedong on the Draft Resolution on the Work of the Democratic Political Parties submitted by the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the 6th of June, 1952. It was first published in the Selected Works of Mao Zedong, Vol. 5, in 1977.
In the comment, Comrade Mao Zedong criticized Li Weihan, the director of this department, for his error in regarding the national bourgeoisie in a socialist society as a middle class.

I have read the document and slightly revised it. Please look at it again. With the overthrow of the landlord class and the bureaucrat-capitalist class, the contradiction between the working class and the national bourgeoisie has become the primary contradiction in China; therefore, the national bourgeoisie should no longer be defined as a middle class.
